Lowes Food Stores MLB’s extensive experience and superior performance on retail spaces made a believer out of Lowes Foods when we successfully delivered the Millpond Village store. Owner, Konover Property Trust was so impressed that they recommended MLB to their new tenants for fit-ups to their retail center shell spaces. MLB successfully completed a number of these fit-ups including: El Cerro Restaurant, The Blossom Shop, and Hollywood Nail Salon.
MLB’s relationship with Hannaford Bros. Co. dates back over 25 years and hundreds of renovation projects throughout the North-Eastern states. The scope of work on individual projects has ranged from remodels to major expansions. All of these retail projects have required close coordination with store planning to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
Various locations throughout FL, MLB’s re-entry into the FL retain market was trumpeted by the successful renovation of its first Sweetbay Supermarket in Bradenton, FL. This was the first of over forty renovation projects MLB has completed for Sweetbay on the Gold Coast of Florida.
Various locations throughout NJ, VA and NC, Food Lion joined forces with MLB in order to remodel four grocery stores located in St. Augustine, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, and Deltona, FL. Construction of these stores was completed after business hours to ensure minimal impact to store operations and customers. Work is often done simultaneously on multiple stores and has allowed MLB to exceed the Owner’s expectations.
Various Locations throughout NC These 36,000 square foot facilities are wood framed with prefabricated wood trusses on slab-on-grade. Each building features 64 living units, a main dining room, commercial kitchen, an Alzheimer’s wing, laundry facilities, porches, sunrooms, trellised arbors and patios, extensive landscaping, exercise room and beauty salon.
This rehabilitation project took place while the Village remained occupied and aimed to provide suitable housing designed to meet the needs of the low income families, while also minimizing maintenance costs, and expanding green space and increasing visibility from units.
Prospect House This renovation project was completed in two phases and aimed to create an improved environment for student living. New doors, paint, carpet, bathrooms, lounges and kitchens greatly enhance the livability of this forty year-old student residence.
Student Housing Units Conversion of three old, well-worn fraternity houses into attractive, modern student residence halls best describes this project. Buildings were gutted and structural repairs were made. Interiors were then fitted with new student rooms, bathrooms, lounges, study and seminar rooms and kitchens.
Scribner Village 57 Bed Units The two planned 57-bed slope-side apartment buildings at Skidmore Colleges Scribner Village are 4-stories each and were carved into the slope of the hillside and anchored into the slopes. The buildings have single bedrooms on the first floor and four more bedrooms above. Each 5-person apartment also includes a kitchen, living room and dining area. Each 2-story apartment is entered either from the up-slope (campus) or down-slope (Scribner) side, responding to and resolving the sloping grades.
Sage College Dormitory This dormitory is a steel structure with a brick veneer and limestone accents. Coupled with a copper roof, the exaggerated gables add a unique character to match the historic surrounding buildings.
