Construction Superintendent - NC Office
MLB Construction Services, LLC is looking for a qualified Construction Superintendent to join our team. We have an immediate career opening for talented a individual with relevant construction experience, strong written communication skills, and the ability to work on a team in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
At MLB you will serve in a management level position responsible to plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site activities. A qualified candidate will need to be able to perform the duties listed below while meeting the minimal hiring criteria:
- Review and understand construction drawings and specifications in order to implement and manage the timely and proper completion of construction projects within budget.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and problem-solving in the field.
- Responsible for inspection of work in progress to ensure work conforms to the specifications and adherence to construction practices and schedules.
- Schedules manpower and material requirements including that of Vendors and Subcontractors.
- Responsible for coordination of the construction team to resolve construction issues and conflicts.
- Responsible to communicate and maintain positive relationships with management, engineering personnel, and inspectors.
- Responsible for daily field reporting, photo documentation, and progress tracking.
- Responsible to ensure MLB’s Safety Program, COVID-19 procedures, and OSHA safety standards are continuously implemented and maintained.

Desired Skills & Experience

Construction Project Manager - NC Office
MLB Construction Services, LLC is looking for qualified construction Project Manager responsible for planning and supervising a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
As a Project Engineer at MLB, you will be responsible for:
· Maintain and adhere to MLB’s standards of safety; ensuring all protocols are understood and followed.
· Review the project design and bidding documents. Understand Project plans and Specifications.
· Support the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.
· Conduct buyout and scope review.
· Review/draft NOCs and proposals
· Create a master schedule.
· Attend all subcontractor, project team, and owner meetings.
· Review draft RFI’s from Project Engineer.
· Execute monthly safety report.
· Conduct Project Evaluation.
· Review all subcontractor billings and supplier/vendor billings.
· Collaborate with the project Superintendent on RFI’s and clarification of documents.
· Conduct project meetings and set milestones.
· Understand appropriate building codes/ regulations.
· Perform project scheduling; ensuring quality control and establishing overall project logistics.
· Perform additional assignments under supervision or under supervisor’s direction.
· Develop pre-construction RFP packages if applicable.
· Understand project plans and answer field personnel questions.
· Establish job processes (RFI’s, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.

As a Project Engineer at MLB, you will be responsible for:
- Maintain and adhere to MLB’s standards of safety; ensuring all protocols are understood and followed.
- Reviews the project design and bidding documents. Understand Project plans and Specifications.
- Maintain and distribute project plans.
- Assists the project team with site safety documentation and coordination.
- Assists PMs in buyout and scope review.
- Reviews submittals for all subcontractors.
- Assists in obtaining subcontractor and vendor backup.
- Reviews all backup for accuracy and completeness.
- Draft all NOC and proposals for PMs.
- Learns and understands the importance of a master schedule.
- Attends all subcontractor, project team, and owner meetings.
- Drafts all RFI’s for PM’s review.
- Learns and understands the importance of the monthly safety report on projects.
- Stays up to date with the PMs on all subcontractor concerns, scope, and document paperwork required.
- Shadows the PM in reviewing the evaluation of the project.
- Assists the PM in reviewing all subcontractor billings and supplier/vendor billings.
- Assists the project Superintendent on RFI’s and clarifications of documents.
- Review certified payrolls before submission.
- Assist the PM in setting up and holding pre-construction meetings.
- Assist the Superintendent in scheduling day to day activities.
- Record project minutes for various meetings as needed.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, ISqFt, Timberline, Sage, and Primavera P6, Software preferred.
