WAKE COUNTY COMMUNITY CENTER—PHASE II RENOVATIONS

The Community Services Center is the second oldest building of Wake County’s inventory. The building was constructed in 1913 as the Wake County Home for the Aged and Infirmed. More recently, the facility has housed various Wake County Behavioral Health Partners. The second phase of this project includes first-floor renovations, second-floor improvements, expanded toilet facilities, modernizaƟon of the building exterior, new landscaping, HVAC updates, and electrical system distribuƟon system replacement. The Interior/exterior renovaƟon of the historic property also included reconfiguraƟon of stairwells, a restroom for compliance with the current building code, updaƟng building finishes, and window restoration.
