Hannaford Food and Drug Store

 This 47,000-square-foot store is Hannaford’s 35th in New York State and MLB’s 35th project for Hannaford Brothers.

With seven months to convert a former Grand Union into a fully modern flagship design for Hannaford, MLB fully gutted the store to begin the renovation. Although each Hannaford is designed with similar architectural features in mind, the challenge lies with the integration of the intensive design of complex systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.

The South Glens Falls store includes a pharmacy, and Hannaford Supermarkets’ trademark organic and natural foods department, “Nature’s Place”. Additional highlights include a “Harvest Market” featuring organic and locally grown produce, a full-service butcher shop, including seasoned meats and poultry that are ready to cook and serve.

Completed on schedule and within budget, the Glens Falls Hannaford represents another successful partnership between our two companies.
