Ellis Hospital B-2 Maternity Unit Renovation

After receiving an anonymous bequest of approximately $1 million, Ellis Hospital was able to renovate the existing maternity unit into a new maternity and women's health care unit. The new Women's Care maternity unit is located on the second floor in the hospital's B-wing. The enlargement of the existing facility includes a new nurse's station, nursery and three LDR rooms. The three large LDR (Labor, Delivery and Recovery) rooms include private showers and bathrooms, operating room lighting in the ceiling and convertible lounge chairs for family members. The new layout and room features allow for better, personalized care by the staff for new mothers.
