In the late 80's, MLB masterminded, in partnership with owner and architect,
a design and construction schedule to deliver a 35,000 square foot,
three-story addition within the time available and at a guaranteed
cost. A new emergency entrance, x-ray and operating rooms, dietary
clinic, hematology and histology labs, as well as certain renovations
enhanced the hospital's ability to provide ambulatory care services.
All work was executed with the hospital in full operation.
Ten years later, Hyde called upon MLB once
again as Construction Manager to finish the transformation to a modern
medical center. A 10,000 square foot addition this time provided
a new same-day services entrance, reception and waiting area, snack
bar, store, examination and treatment rooms. Over 30,000 square feet
of phased renovations further modernized the center with new patient
rooms, nurses stations, operating rooms, and birthing rooms. And
again MLB successfully got the job done with virtually no disruption
in day to day patient services.
