This project required a total gut renovation of the turn of-the-century chemistry building and complete redesign of the classrooms and teaching laboratories to coincide with a new philosophy of teaching chemistry to under-graduates. Though originally conceived as a GMP project, the renovation project evolved into a super fast-track design-build program to meet the schedule deadline of starting classes up again by the second semester beginning in January. Construction began on the facility almost six months before the completion of design documents, and was substantially completed eight months after the documents were finished.
