MLB has a strong background in green building practices and has experience with the LEED rating system. MLB has been a member of the U. S. Green Building Council since 2001 and has several Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals on staff. We always work closely with the design teams on our projects to review specifications and ensure that green design goals are implemented even if certification is not requested by the Owner.

Currently, MLB is working with Sacco+McKinney Architects on the construction of a LEED Silver certification facility for the Union Graduate College. The Team is following stringent credit qualifications in the areas of sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality and innovation in design to complete a state of the art teaching center.
